Through our 'Power Usage and Efficiency Program,' we aim to reduce the amount of carbon emissions we produce by recycling were possible and by the use of power efficient hardware both within our Datacentre and Office.
By the very nature of the hosting services we provide there will always be carbon emissions produced. We have for the 5th year in a row partnered with The World Land Trust through their Carbon Balanced Program in order that Web Wiz is a Carbon Balanced Company The World Land Trust is a UK Registered Charity who has since 1989 worked to conserve the Worlds Rainforests through their Carbon Balanced Projects. |

For those carbon emissions that we are not able to eliminate we have for the 4th year in a row partnered with The World Land Trust through their Carbon Balanced Program in order that Web Wiz is a Carbon Balanced Company. The World Land Trust is a UK Registered Charity who has since 1989 worked to conserve the Worlds Rainforests through their Carbon Balanced Projects. At Web Wiz to reduce energy consumption when equipment is replaced the old equipment, where possible, is always recycled and new equipment and servers must have a lower carbon footprint. Web Wiz servers are purpose-built in-house for their required task selecting components for their green credentials like low voltage Intel Xeon CPU’s and Intel Solid State Hard Drives. Web Wiz Carbon Offsets through World Land Trust10 September 2013 - Posted by Web Wiz, in Web Wiz News At Web Wiz we are committed to cutting our carbon emissions and have over the past year reduced our energy consumption through our Power Usage and Efficiency Program.
For those carbon emissions that we are not able to eliminate we have for the 3rd year in a row partnered with The World Land Trust through their Carbon Balanced Program to offset 7,819 tonnes of carbon dioxide used in our Data Centre, office and company transport. The World Land Trust is a UK Registered Charity who has since 1989 worked to conserve the Worlds Rainforests through their Carbon Balanced Projects. To balance our carbon emissions the World Land Trust purchase and restore threatened tropical forests in Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico, Paraguay, India and Tanzania. At Web Wiz to reduce energy consumption when equipment is replaced the old equipment, where possible, is always recycled and new equipment and servers must have a lower carbon footprint.
