Web Wiz Opens New Eco Data Centre17 May 2018 Web Wiz is pleased to announce the opening of our new 1,800 sq. ft. Eco Data Centre facility in Poole, Bournemouth, Dorset on the South Coast of the UK. The location of the purpose-built Data Centre was selected as it situated on the highest point in Poole to reduce the risk of flooding.
Green energy efficiency was at the heart of our new Eco Data Centre design, with Generators powered by Natural Gas rather than Diesel and A++ rated Heat Exchangers to keep the Data Hall cool. We understand that to our customers' service outages are a major concern that is why we have two diverse Fibre Connections coming into the building at opposite sides, one from BT OpenReach and the other from Virgin Media.
Over the next couple of months, we will be migrating our Equipment and Servers co-located at 3rd Party Data Centres over to our new Eco Data Centre.
