Shared Hosting and Hyper-V Cloud Platform Upgrades09 February 2023![]() The Intel Xeon-D SOC was designed with Facebook for edge computing and web servers as part of the Open Compute Project. The latest Intel Xeon-D SOC uses Intel's new Ice Lake 10 nm+ microarchitecture and 25GbE fibre network connectivity. For storage, we use Micron 7450 NVMe drives, with industry-leading 176-layer NAND, PCIe Gen4, 1 million IOPS, and 2ms and below QoS latency enhancing performance for latency-sensitive website and database hosting. As a green hosting provider, energy consumption is essential and is reduced by 18%, with our equipment racks using 87.5% less power than standard 32amp data centre racks.
