HTTPS - Is Your Website Ready for Chrome 68?

05 July 2018

HTTPS Web AddressGoogle is set to release Chrome 68 an update to their Chrome Web Browser in July 2018, which will mark all HTTP websites as 'Not Secure' in the browser address bar.

Chrome 68 will include a security check to see if the website is using an encrypted connection over an HTTPS web address.

To avoid this 'Not Secure' label the website would need to have an SSL/TLS Certificate and all traffic be directed to an HTTPS web address.

Web Wiz are able to provide a SSL/TLS Certificate for our Hosting Customers for as little as 29.95 + VAT per year.

SSL Certificates bought through ourselves include the application submission to the SSL authority and setting up the SSL certificate on the Customers website with a Search Engine Optimised (SEO) redirect from the previous HTTP address to the new HTTPS address.
